Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account. Name, email address, and authentication identifiers, collected through Clerk when you sign up or sign in.
• Journal. Accounts, strategies, and closed positions you create or import, including symbols, prices, size, times, commission, swap, profit, notes, and TradingView screenshot links.
• Preferences. Base currency and timezone, stored with your account. Theme choice stays in your browser.
• Billing. Subscription status and plan. Card payments are handled by Stripe through Clerk. We do not store full card numbers.
• Promo codes. If you redeem a partner code, we store the code claim and whether the related subscription became active.
• Technical data. IP address and request metadata used for security, rate limits, and error diagnosis.

How we use it

We use this information to:

• Run the journal, analytics, calendar, and imports.
• Convert account results into your chosen base currency.
• Generate and store Zenn coaching notes.
• Bill Pro subscriptions and apply promo codes.
• Protect accounts, enforce plan limits, and fix faults.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Zenn and OpenAI

When you request a Zenn tip, recent closed-position fields are sent to OpenAI so it can write the note. The note is stored against your account for that day or week. We do not send your password or payment details to OpenAI.

Who processes data for us

• Clerk for sign-in and subscription status.
• Stripe for card payments, via Clerk Billing.
• OpenAI for Zenn tips.
• Vercel for the website, app, and admin panel.
• Render and Cloudflare for the API.
• Frankfurter for public foreign-exchange rates used in currency conversion. That request does not include your name or email.
• TradingView when you open the chart page or load a screenshot link you saved.

Journal data is stored in our Postgres database. Portfolio analytics may be cached in API memory for a few minutes.

How long we keep it

We keep account and journal data while your account is open. You can delete accounts, strategies, and positions in the app. To close the account and ask us to delete the remaining personal data, email hello@tradezenn.com. Billing records may be kept where tax or accounting rules require it. Server logs are kept only as long as we need them for security and debugging.

Cookies

This marketing site does not use advertising cookies. The app uses Clerk session cookies so you stay signed in. Those cookies are required for the app to work.

Security and children

Access to the API requires a signed-in session. Journal records are scoped to the account that created them. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

TRADEZENN is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. We use them to provide the service described here.

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. The current version is always on this page.
